Our Nezaj & Co. assurance professionals understand that our foremost responsibility is to serve the public interest through quality, professionalism and doing the right things. These values are the cornerstone of all we do at Nezaj & Co; it is the foundation upon which our firm was built on and the very essence of our assurance practice.
We transform our pledge to audit quality into action through our dedication to objectivity and independence, transparent and ongoing dialogue with stakeholders and investments in our people and the tools and resources that support their work.
We offer various levels of assurance based on our client’s requirements. From compiling financial statements to full audits, our team can support your level of assurance.
Audit
Providing the highest level of assurance, an audit is a methodical review and objective examination of the financial statements. It includes the verification of specific information as determined by the auditor or as established by general practice.
Review
Less extensive than an audit, a review engagement consists primarily of analytical procedures we apply to the financial statements, and various inquiries we make of your company’s management team.
If the financial statements or supporting information appear inconsistent or otherwise questionable, we may need to perform additional procedures.
Compilation
Compilations offer the lowest level of assurance, and don’t require inquiries of management or analytical procedures. Instead, we rely on our knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of your business.
Non-Profit Organizations
We can help you setup and maintain your non-profit organization’s tax-exempt status by handling all the IRS reporting for you.
Each year the IRS requires most tax-exempt organizations to submit the Form 990 and its relations, which includes the following items.
Internal Controls
At times you may need a trained outside professional to evaluate your company’s operations to determine if the appropriate controls are in place to ensure proper handling of resources and to protect yourself from employee theft.
Forensic Accounting
Do you worry that you or your business might be the victim of fraud?
Do you need to analyze your financial data to uncover potential misconduct?
Are you investigating an entity for possible acquisition and need to ensure the absence of financial irregularities?
